1. Member of the Board of Directors
We have a Board of 12 Directors that meets bi-monthly. It is both a policy and working Board and participation on at least one Board Committee is required. Preference is given to those interested in fundraising activities.

2.  Fundraising

We welcome volunteers interested in fundraising. Your involvement can be at the level you choose—as a Board member, as a volunteer member of our Fundraising Committee, or assisting otherwise according to your interests and time availability. Fundraising encompasses special events; pursuit of third-party events where corporations and other organizations generate financial support; and solicitation of donations from individuals, corporations, service clubs, and school groups.   Activities could involve bringing ideas to the team, developing a fundraising network, making presentations, preparing letters, planning and implementing events, etc.

3.  Office Administration

Reception duties, typing, filing, photocopying, correspondence, assisting with mailings, etc.

4.  Plan, Organize and/or Assist at Special Events

Each year we organize or assist with a number of special events, eg. Donor/Volunteer Recognition Event; a Pancake Luncheon; a golf tournament; a slo-pitch tournament, etc. We welcome individuals who would like to contribute ideas for events, help organize events, or to assist at the events.

5.  Driving—Distribution of Brochures

Child Witness Centre brochures are supplied to dozens of sites in the community and we need drivers to periodically check and replenish the supply of brochures at each location.

6.  Building Maintenance

Spring year clean-up work; minor building, electrical, plumbing repairs.

7.  Writing Newsletter Articles

Help us write articles for our twice-a-year newsletter.

8.  Project Work

If you like special projects and want a limited time involvement, give us a call. Projects could range from planning and organizing a special event; designing fundraising materials, completing applications to foundations for donations, planning and managing a media campaign, etc.
